Rome Middle School visited by State Superintendent Richard Woods

Rome Middle School was recently visited by State Superintendent Richard Woods, where he officially awarded Rome City Schools with the Striving Readers Comprehensive Literacy Grant. As one of the largest and most competitive grants in the state, the Literacy for Learning, Living and Leading grant will add an additional $137,000 for birth to 5-year-old educational programs, $572,000 dollars for kindergarten through fifth grade programs, middle school programs will receive $285,000 and high school programs will see an extra $269,000 for literacy-related programs. / Rome City Schools
