Rome attorneys named to State Bar of Georgia committee posts

Four Rome attorneys have been appointed to serve on committees for 2017-18 by the 49,000-member State Bar of Georgia.

Paul T. Carroll III of Paul T. Carroll III P.C. was named to the Disciplinary Rules & Procedures Committee, which advises the State Bar leadership with respect to all procedural and substantive disciplinary rules, policies and procedures.

J. Anderson Davis of Brinson, Askew, Berry, Seigler, Richardson and Davis LLP was selected for the Advisory Committee on Legislation, which prepares legislation approved by the State Bar Board of Governors for consideration by the Georgia General Assembly and monitors all legislation affecting Bar members and the practice of law.

F. Kevin Salmon of the Floyd County District Attorneys’ Office will serve on the Bench and Bar Committee, which oversees the Judicial District Professionalism Program and works to identify and facilitate solutions to issues of mutual interest between the state’s judges and lawyers for the benefit of the public.

Christopher P. Twyman of Cox, Byington, Twyman and Johnson LLP was appointed to the Insurance Committee, which monitors and advises the Executive Committee with respect to the State Bar’s insurance coverage.
