Highland Rivers Foundation receives donation from Modern Woodmen

Christopher Pope (right), Rome-based agent of Modern Woodmen financial planning agency, holds a $1,000 check representing his recent donation to the Highland Rivers Foundation, a newly-formed nonprofit foundation supporting the recovery programs of Highland Rivers Health. Pope pledged $1,000 in matching funds as part of the foundation’s Tennis Carnival and Court Couture Ball fundraiser, held Sept. 8 at Lawrence Plantation in Rome. The event, which featured former tennis pro and Georgia native Melanie Oudin as keynote speaker, raised more than $10,000 for the Highland Rivers Foundation. With Pope are Director of Development Laura Citron (from left) and Director of Addictive Disease Ansley Silvers at the agency’s Floyd Recovery and Wellness Center on Mathis Drive in Rome.
