FMC volunteer is honored as a Hometown Hero of NW Georgia

Dorothy Rowles, a volunteer at Floyd Medical Center, has been named a Hometown Hero of Northwest Georgia by the Modern Woodmen of the America.

A $100 check in her honor was sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

She has volunteered at the hospital for 15 years, crocheting hats for babies in the nursery and for cancer patients. Rowles has also made lap quilts for hospital patients.
