Free Museum Day at Oak Hill

Visitors to Oak Hill and The Martha Berry Museum were given free admission on Saturday as part of the annual Smithsonian Museum Day. This year’s event celebrated the Smithsonian Year of Music, an institution-wide initiative celebrating the Smithsonian’s vast musical collections and resources through 365 days of music-related programming. As part of the day music was performed in the Oak Hill parlor as part of the tour, and guests were given the opportunity to view the museum’s collection of lap dulcimers.
