Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Ross Johnson III of Rome, announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Jacquelyn Johnson, to Benjamin Caleb Jackson, son of the Rev. and Mrs. Scott Allen Jackson, Knoxville, Tennessee.
Miss Johnson, a graduate of Auburn University, is a teacher at Advent Episcopal School in Birmingham, Alabama.
Mr. Jackson graduated from the University of Kentucky and is employed as assistant baseball coach and recruiting coordinator at the University of Montevallo in Montevallo, Alabama.
Their siblings are Mr. and Mrs. M. Harrison York, Jr. of Rome; Frederick R. Johnson IV of Chattanooga, Tennessee; and Mr. and Mrs. Dawson Halliday of Knoxville, Tennessee.
The couples’ grandparents are Mr. And Mrs. John Carter Hood of Cedartown; Mrs. Frederick R. Johnson, Jr. of Rome and the late Frederick Johnson; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Kersey of Springboro, Ohio and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Blume of Anderson, Indiana.
The wedding will be held on July 29, 2017 at Morris Chapel, Darlington School. Formal invitations will be sent.
