Three financial service companies have merged to create Coosa Valley Financial Group. Rome firms Mills Bookkeeping and Tax, and Ace Insurers and Express Tax Refund, and Precise Bookkeeping and Tax of Taylorsville make up the new agency.

CVFG offers a variety of tax and accounting services along with financial planning expertise. President Mark Busby said the agency has seven employees and expects to expand soon. It plans to add property and casualty insurance services at all three locations.

“We haven’t signed any contract yet but expect to very soon,” he said.

Busby has more than 20 years of experience in the electronic tax industry. He was a TaxWise software developer for Universal Tax Service at one time.

The agency has a headquarters office at 421 E. Second Ave. in Rome and satellite locations at 103 Redmond Road and 2366 Ga. 113, Suite B in Taylorsville.
