ROME BRAVES RECAP: Rome comes up short in 16 innings against Greenville

How it happened: Bobby Dalbec hit a walk-off solo homer in the 16th inning, as the Greenville Drive topped the Rome Braves 3-2 on Thursday in South Carolina. Greenville took a 2-0 lead after Santiago Espinal and Tucker Tubbs hit RBI singles in the third and fourth innings. Rome answered in the sixth inning when Drew Lugbauer and Carlos Martinez hit RBI singles. Tubbs (1-0) got the win with three innings of scoreless, two-hit relief while Ryan Schlosser (0-3) took the loss in the South Atlantic League game. Lugbauer doubled and singled three times for the Braves. Kevin Josephina tripled, doubled and singled.Next Game: Rome and Greenville are scheduled to play a doubleheader today beginning at 5:30 p.m.
