ROME BRAVES RECAP: Greenville overwhelms Rome

How it happened: Bobby Dalbec hit a two-run home run and had two hits, and Hildemaro Requena tossed six scoreless innings as the Greenville Drive defeated the Rome Braves 12-1 on Thursday. The Drive swept the three-game series with the win.

Requena (11-3) allowed two hits while striking out six to get the win.

Greenville scored in six different innings in the victory, including the eighth, when Jerry Downs scored on a ground out and Dalbec hit a two-run home run. Alan Rangel (2-6) went three innings, allowing five runs and six hits in the South Atlantic League game. He also struck out three and walked two.
