How it happened: Kevin Josephina had five hits, while Isranel Wilson and Anthony Concepcion recorded three apiece as the Rome Braves topped the Columbia Fireflies 10-0 on Saturday. Josephina tripled, doubled and singled three times, driving home four runs and scoring a couple. Wilson tripled and singled twice, scoring a run and also driving one home. Rome scored in six different innings in the victory, including the seventh, when it put up three runs, including a single by Wilson that scored Riley Delgado. Rome starter Jeremy Walker (7-11) picked up the win after scattering five hits over five scoreless innings. Opposing starter Jose Carlos Medina (1-1) took the loss in the South Atlantic League game after giving up six runs and 11 hits over six innings. Taylor Lewis pitched four scoreless innings for his third save of the season. The Fireflies were blanked for the 13th time this season, while the Braves’ staff recorded their 12th shutout of the year.
