SUMMERVILLE — The Summerville City Council named police Capt. Harold Tucker as the interim police chief on Nov. 13. Tucker is taking over the daily operation of the police department during the absence of Chief Stan Mosley, who is out with an extended illness.
Tucker will receive a $4 an hour raise. That raise is retroactive back to Oct. 16. The council voted unanimously to make that change.
“As you know Chief Mosley has some health problems he is dealing with at this time. Captain Tucker filled in for him and has done an excellent job,” Mayor Harry Harvey said. “Capt. Tucker needs to be compensated for the extra time and work he is doing.”
