Three teens were arrested last week after police said they caught them stealing from cars at a Cumberland movie theater.

The suspects are Brianna Reed, 19, of East Point, Derric Carter, 17, and Kymberli Carter, 18, both of Clayton County. They face two counts each of entering motor vehicles with intent to commit a felony.

According to their arrest warrants, the three were arrested April 16 after a woman called police and provided a description of three people she said were trying the door handles of cars in the parking lot of AMC Parkway Pointe in Cumberland.

An officer who came to investigate found a blue Chevy Tahoe parked there with its door slightly ajar and the center console open. When the owner came back, he searched the car and told the officer he was missing a gold necklace, a cellphone, ten dollars and his license.

Meanwhile, another officer detained the suspects near the entrance to the parking lot. According to their arrest warrants, the three had the items that the Tahoe owner reported missing in a backpack, along with items reported missing from other unlocked vehicles, including another cell phone and a laptop.

The three remain in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center on $15,000 bond.
