A sex offender, from Albany, New York, was arrested by Cherokee County, Alabama authorities after they learned he was living in the county and had not registered with authorities.
According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver:
Patrick E. Sullivan, 30, of Albany, New York, was arrested Tuesday. Sheriff's Office investigators received information the suspect was living at a residence in Leesburg and had not complied with the Alabama Sex Offender Registration Act. After verifying with New York authorities of the conviction, investigators arrested. Sullivan was transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center where he awaits bond on a sex offender registration violation for entering the state without registering.
