March of Dimes Georgia will partner with Area 51 Aurora Cineplex and The Fringe Miniature Golf to put the "fun" in "fundraiser" on March 30.

"Putt for Preemies" returns to The Fringe for its third year.

"Victoria Stamps with March of Dimes Georgia reached out to us a couple years ago with the idea of combining 'fun' with a fundraiser," said Area 51: Aurora Cineplex and The Fringe Miniature Golf Marketing Coordinator Britt Argo.

Guests will have the opportunity to play unlimited miniature golf all day and get a popcorn and drink snack pack for a special price of $15.

The Fringe Miniature Golf will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. for the event giving attendees, "plenty of time to play."

Area 51 will donate 25 percent of the proceeds directly to March of Dime Georgia.

If a guest opts to purchase "a regular round of mini golf," 20 percent of that day's proceeds will go to March of Dimes Georgia.

The two groups collaborate to host the event "each year before the big local fundraiser, the March for Babies walk."

March for Babies is April 27 in Lot A of Ameris Bank (formerly Verizon Wireless) Amphitheater in Alpharetta.

"At Putt for Preemies, we have a March of Dimes Georgia table with more information about the April 27th March for Babies Walk," said Argo.

The goal is to provide "an extra chance to get the word out and promote to our guests how they can help."

An "Artisans Arts and Craft Fair" is also scheduled from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and planned to be set up in front of the Mini Golf entrance.

The craft fair, led by Deb Turco of Main Street Craft Show, plans will set up over 10 booths with an array of handmade and special, unique gifts.

Patrons can anticipate booths to include, but are not limited to "jewelry, scarfs, lotions, candles, art pieces, nail art and crafted gifts."

A portion of the craft fair's proceeds will also be donated to March of Dimes Georgia.

Raffle Prizes will be given out from 12 to 3 p.m. during Area 51's "Dumbo Carnival," to celebrate the release of the new "Dumbo" film, by Tim Burton.

According to Argo, there will be "movie items and March of Dimes Georgia merchandise prizes." "Party til You Pop" Balloon Artist Paul Teal is also scheduled to be at the carnival.

An entry box will be accessible all day for anyone who plays mini golf.

Mini-golfers can enter to win an Aurora Movie Bucket, anticipated to include four (4) sets of movie passes and mini golf, small drink and popcorn passes, movie candy, popcorn seeds, a popcorn bucket, movie cups and mini posters.

Donations can be made directly to March of Dimes Georgia at the event.

March of Dimes works to educate about and prevent premature births and "leads the fight for the health of all moms and babies."
