Fulton County Department of Public Works will share plans to upgrade and expand Roswell's Big Creek Water Reclamation Facility with the public on March 19.

The meeting is at Chattahoochee Nature Center in Roswell from 6 to 8 p.m.

At the meeting, Fulton County aims "to provide information and receive public feedback on the project," according to a news release.

The department will provide "an overview of the scope, timeline and benefits of the expansion and hear community input."

The Big Creek Water Reclamation Facility "serves the largest service area and receives the largest amount of wastewater flow of all the reclamation facilities in the county's northern service area, outside of Atlanta."

Upgrades to the facility will bring expansion "from 24 to 38 million gallons per day to meet the projected wastewater treatment demands from future growth and eliminate odors from the facility."

A news release also anticipated the project "to be Fulton County’s largest public works project in the next 50 years."

The Neighbor will provide updates about the meeting as details become available.

More information about the project is available by contacting either David Clark at david.clark@fultoncountyga.gov or Brandon Ward at brandon.ward@fultoncountyga.gov.
