MARIETTA — A former Kennesaw State University student faces rape charges after allegedly sexually assaulting a woman last September in her dorm room, warrants show.
Miller Michael Menetre, 22, was arrested Feb. 1, months after a female student reported the alleged assault to KSU police.
According to warrants in the case, Menetre met with the woman and her roommate at their on-campus apartment. After having some drinks she said Menetre took her to her bed.
In a voluntary interview with police, Menetre admitted having sexual contact with the student, but insisted the encounter was consensual, ac-cording to the warrant.
The warrant also says both Menetre, the alleged victim and her room-mate all agreed beforehand he would sleep on the couch in the living room. Menetre told police the student invited him to lie down when he placed her in bed.
Menetre had been a student at KSU from fall 2014 through spring 2016, but was enrolled at Georgia State the time the alleged assault occurred.
