MARIETTA — Cobb Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a man who robbed a Roswell Road bank Thursday afternoon.

Officers were dispatched to the Regions Bank at 2486 Roswell Road near East Piedmont Road shortly after the robbery that occurred just before 1:30 p.m. When they arrived, they were told that a man had just entered the bank and gave a teller a “demand note” requesting money. He fled on foot after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, according to Sgt. Dana Pierce, Cobb police spokesman.

The perpetrator was described as a black man with a thin build, 5-feet-5-inches to 5-feet-6-inches tall, bald with a goatee, and believed to be between 25 and 30 years old. He was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt bearing the logo of the “Punisher” comic book character, dark pants, dark shoes and a black cap with the words “Beware I Bite” across the front of it.
