The Cobb County Water System reported an estimated 2,020 gallon wastewater sewer overflow occurred April 29.
The overflow, resulting from a tree falling on an eight-inch line, occurred at 3628 Childers Way NE in Roswell. The tree broke the line and pushed the manhole into Sweat Mountain Creek.

Water System employees set up a bypass and repaired the sewer main.
An estimated 2,700 gallon overflow occurred earlier in the month. The April 19 overflow, resulting from an eight-inch line hit by a contractor, occurred at 4395 Woodland Brook Drive SE in the Cumberland area. The sewage was discharged into a tributary to Gilmore Creek.
