Angelo’s New York Style Pizza and Bistro reopened Monday after it was reinspected by the Bartow County Health Department because of a food-borne-illness outbreak during a catered Thanksgiving meal at Toyo two weeks ago.
According to the Georgia Department of Health, the investigation is on-going into the confirmed salmonella outbreak during the meal at Toyo Tire in White on Nov. 15.
Angelo’s New York Style Pizza and Bistro, in Cartersville, voluntarily closed last week when it was inspected last Wednesday.
“We plan to conclude interviews with Toyo employees who attended the event by end of day Tuesday and hope to identify the food product that caused the outbreak,” Georgia Department of Public Health Public Information Officer Logan Boss said in a press release Monday. “We will release that information, if conclusive, which it may not be, when available.”
