The Gordon Lee tennis teams traveled to Lakeshore Park in Dalton on Thursday and dropped a pair of region matches to Christian Heritage.
In boys' action, the Lions shut out the Trojans by a 5-0 count. In singles, Phillip McClure beat Joseph Looney, 6-4, 6-1. Evan Townsend downed Jonathan Bettis, 6-1, 6-1, and Devin Sanders stopped Brayden Born, 6-0, 6-2.
Christian Heritage won in doubles as Samuel Pippin and Brian Pierce beat Logan Davis and Chandler Steele, 6-0, 6-3. The Lions won the other doubles match by forfeit.
Gordon Lee dropped to 1-7 with the loss.
Rain halted play in the girls' match before all five matches were complete, but it held off long enough for the Lady Lions to post a 3-0 win.
At No. 3 singles, Sarah Pippin defeated Bonnie Hankins, 6-0, 6-0, and Christian Heritage won both doubles matches. Erin Grace White and Kacie Griggs rallied from a set down to beat Sara Clayton and Katherine Chambers, 4-6, 6-1, 6-0, while Courtney Pirkle and Sydney White got past Tori McElhaney and Sara Holcomb, 6-4, 6-4.
The other two singles matches were tied when rain stopped the action. Gordon Lee's Madison Hilley won the first set against Tegan McEntire, 6-4, but lost the second set, 4-6. Hilley's teammate, Katie Barger won 7-5 in the first set against Claudia Brumlow, but lost 6-2 in the second set.
The Lady Trojans are now 2-6 overall on the season.
