The Rome High track teams had a victorious opening to their outdoor season Thursday night as both the Wolves and Lady Wolves rolled to first-place finishes in a quad meet at Barron Stadium.

Rome's girls scored 224 points for the win, while fellow Region 7-5A team Hiram came in second with 152 points. Rome's boys finished with 229 points, coming out ahead of Cedartown, who had 150 points.

Over 95 student-athletes competed for Rome, and they will be back at Barron Stadium on Saturday for the Rome Invitational track meet. Competition starts at 9 a.m.
