The Rome High tennis teams split Monday against Cass at the Rome Tennis Center, with the girls winning 4-1, and the boys falling 1-4.

Morgan Padgett won at No. 2 singles, 6-3, 6-0; and Nigara Nizimidin won at No. 3 singles, 6-4, 6-0.

Mary Jo McCormick and Ripley Bennett won at No. 1 doubles, 6-1, 6-0; and Elizabeth Eberhart and Laura McCurry took No. 2 doubles, 6-1, 6-1.

The boys’ only win came at No. 2 doubles with John Cromer and William Huck winning 6-1, 6-1.

The girls (5-0) and the boys (0-5) will play again today when they host Cartersville.
