Ridgeland dropped the first set to the Lady Raiders, 28-26, but responded with 25-19 and 25-21 victories to clinch the match. Nicole Lonsford had six kills in the victory. Te'a Owens added four kills, and Katelyn Baker had three kills and one block.

The Lady Panthers began the second match with a 25-19 win over the Lady Tigers, only to see Ringgold rally for 25-20 and 25-18 wins. Lonsford led the Ridgeland offense with five kills. Owens picked up four and Baker collected two blocks to go with her one kill.

Ridgeland will join state-ranked Heritage for a tri-match at LaFayette on Tuesday, starting at 5 p.m.
