Both Ridgeland soccer squads suffered region losses at the hands of visiting Northwest Whitfield on Tuesday night.

The Panthers (2-2, 0-2) were tied 1-1 after the first 25 minutes, but gave up two goals in the final 15 minutes of the first half. The Bruins added a pair of goals in the second half to claim the 5-1 win.

Evan Courtney scored his seventh goal of the year for Ridgeland on an assist by Blakely Epperson to account for the Panthers' lone tally of the night.

The night's other game saw the Lady Panthers (1-3, 0-2) get shut out 10-0 as they dropped their third straight match.

Things will get no easier for Ridgeland on Friday when they travel to Southeast Whitfield. The girls' game will begin at 5 p.m. with the boys' game to follow. Ridgeland will return home on March 12 to host Heritage, starting with the boys' game at 5.
