The Ridgeland Panthers got yet anther hat trick from senior Evan Courtney and shut out Chattanooga's School for the Arts and Sciences, 3-0, in a boys' soccer match in Rossville on Monday night.

Blakely Epperson and Mark McKevitt collected assists for Ridgeland (5-7 overall).

"We played very hard and won most of the 50/50 balls and that made all the difference," head coach Tim Sparks explained. "It took pressure off our defense and we were able to apply a lot of pressure on them. We created plenty of dangerous chances and our defense played well, helping (goalkeeper) Joseph Fincher keep the clean sheet."

Both Ridgeland squads will be in action on Tuesday as they host Cedartown, starting with the girls' match at 5:30 p.m.
