The Ridgeland Panthers sent their senior class out with a victory on Monday night as they took down Southeast Whitfield, 9-5, in the season finale in Dalton.
Ridgeland (6-15 overall) did most of its damage in the top of the fifth inning as a two-out hit by Gannon Hampton sparked the offense. The Panthers would rack up five straight two-out hits and score five times.
Daniel Johnson went the distance on the mound for the win, and had a big night at the plate, reaching base in all five of his plate appearances. He had two singles, a double, and drew two walks.
Tyler Hisey was 2 for 3 with a pair of sacrifices, while Isaac Martenn and Coty Riddle each had two hits.
