The visiting LaFayette Ramblers enjoyed their biggest margin of victory on the season on Tuesday, pounding out 16 hits as they rolled over county rival Ridgeland, 13-1, at Jay Smith Field.

A five-run second inning got the Ramblers going and they added three runs in both the fifth and sixth innings, finally ending the game by the run rule.

Brennon Gray was 4 for 4 with a double and three runs scored while turning in an outstanding defensive game. McKenzie Kelehear was 3 for 5 with a double and 3 RBIs. Andy Boss and Mason Thompson each went 2 for 5, while Brice Cleverley ripped a three-run triple in the sixth.

Micah Wyatt, Clayton Lane, Josh Manning, and Harrison Queen each had one hit, while Brandon Buck was also singled out for his defensive during the game.

Wyatt also got the win on the mound, allowing three hits and two walks with five strikeouts.

Josh McNabb started for Ridgeland and lasted just 2 2/3 innings. He was saddled with the loss. Tucker Hill provided the lone highlight for the Panthers with a third-inning solo home run.

Ridgeland (5-11, 0-10) will play at LaFayette (6-11, 3-7) on Thursday with first pitch slated for 5:55 p.m.
