Down 6-0 in the bottom of the seventh, the Pepperell Lady Dragons rallied back to come within one run of the Callaway Lady Cavaliers’ lead. After a barrage of hits and fortuitous walks, Pepperell scored five runs and had two runners on second and third with a 6-5 deficit.
Rome High School took home first place in the boys’ and girls’ races at Ridge Ferry Park on Tuesday afternoon.
