Ringgold gets to Region
FORT OGLETHORPE -- Facing elimination against the LFO Warriors after losing Game 1 of the Region 6-AAA third-place series, the resilient Sonoraville Lady Phoenix utilized timely hitting and a commanding effort from the pitching circle to capture a 2-1 Game 2 victory and force a decisive third game.
The Calhoun Lady Jackets team earned a sweep in a home doubleheader on Saturday against Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe in the second round of the Region 6-AAA playoffs. Calhoun will move on and face Ringgold in the region championship seris on Wednesday.
