LaFayette High School's tennis teams suffered home losses to Cass on Tuesday.
The Lady Ramblers dropped their second straight 3-2 decision as they fell to 8-3 overall on the season.
Madeline Ensley shut out Jessica Franks, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 1 singles, but the Lady Colonels picked up points in the two remaining singles matches. Aleigh Beard beat Jessica McDaniels, 6-3, 7-5, and Hannah Dunlap defeated Reanna Huskey (scores were not provided).
In doubles, the team of Tori Hunter and Abbey Hannah took down Brieanna Summers and Callie Dodd, 7-5, 6-4, but Cass' duo of Flower Nation and Macy Mayton beat Brieanna Maggard and Evie Watters, 6-1, 6-1, to clinch the win for their squad.
In an exhibition doubles match, Dodd and May King beat Saucey Dalton and Macy Bryant, 6-2, 6-3.
In the boys' match, the Colonels collected a 5-0 sweep to drop the Ramblers to 7-4 overall.
In singles, Matt Moore beat A.J. Lowrance, 6-3, 6-0, Jay Johnson defeated Jamey Huskey, 6-1, 6-2, and Jeremy Coone made it a sweep with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Clayton Underwood.
The team of Eric Dunlap and Kaleb McBrayer got past Daniel Witt and Chaed Clements in three sets, 5-7, 6-0, 7-5, while Brad DeLee and Jakob McBrayer polished off the match with a 6-4, 6-0 win over Noah Holland and Zan Thompson.
In a singles exhibition match, Cass' Darien Munroe outlasted Cass Benson, 6-0, 5-7, 11-9.
LaFayette will play at Dade County on Thursday in the final regular season match before the Region 7-AAAA tournament at Lakeshore Park in Dalton, starting next Tuesday. the region finals set for Thursday, April 18. The top four teams will qualify for the state tournament.
