The LaFayette High School softball team was stunned at home by Dalton on Tuesday night, 8-6, in a Region 7-AAAA "B" game.

Shayla Ludy went 3-for-4 in the loss, while Shelby Narmore was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Kaleigh Goff had one hit and drove in two runs. Victoria Day and E.J. Ratledge each had one hit and one RBI, while Hannah O'Shields added a double.

Day took the loss, giving up seven hits and eight runs - four earned - in four innings of work. She walked one and struck out two. Savanna Reeves threw the final three innings, allowing one hit and one strikeout.

LaFayette (13-4, 1-4) will try and right the ship on Thursday with a 5:55 p.m. road game at Ridgeland.
