The Heritage baseball team recorded its first win of the season on Thursday, March 7 to end a two-game losing streak. 

The Generals - coming off a 10-0 shut out against rival Ringgold on Monday, March 4 - defeated Coahulla Creek, 2-1, behind the strong arm of Blake Hamilton. He allowed two hits in six innings, while Jared Porter recorded his first save of the year.

On offense, Porter, a senior, had an RBI double in the fourth inning.

Lee Gibson was 2-for-2 for the Navy-and-Red.

Freshmen Logan Haga was 1-for-3 with an RBI single in the fourth-inning.

The Generals will host rival LFO this evening, with the first pitch slated for 5:30 p.m.
