The Gordon Lee Lady Trojans have moved up to No. 2 in the most recent GHSA/ power ranking poll, released early Tuesday morning.

Gordon Lee, who was at No. 3 last week, now has 10.53 points and trails only Randolph-Clay (11.10) for the top spot in the Class A public school standings. Turner County (9.37), Treutlen (8.62) and Claxton (8.41) round out the top five.

The Class A private school rankings have a decidedly Region 6-A feel to them as teams from the region hold down three of the top five spots. Southwest Atlanta Christian (13.31) is ranked No. 1, followed by Holy Innocents' (11.13), Darlington (10.39), Calvary Day (10.05) and St. Francis (9.75).

The Gordon Lee boys' recent streak of success has helped them move back into the playoff picture. The Trojans, who checked in at No. 25 in the initial Class A public school standings three weeks ago, have moved up to No. 18 with 7.02 points, and they sit just 0.22 points out of the 16th and final playoff spot.

Wilkinson County (11.69) is No. 1 this week, followed by MItchell County (11.13), Wilcox County (10.90), Seminole County (10.07) and Dooly County (10.06).

Three of the top six teams in the Class A private school rankings are from Region 6-A. North Cobb Christian (12.88) is No. 1, followed by Greenforest Christian (10.88), Excel Christian (10.81), Calvary Day (10.67), W.D. Mohammed (10.29) and Mt. Paran Christian (9.82).
