Gordon Central's Logan Caudle, who will be a senior this coming fall, is a nominee for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s Comeback Athlete of the Year. A panel from Children’s chose a Comeback Athlete of the Month from October 2012 until May 2013, and now those eight winners are eligible for the overall award.
Through Saturday, June 15, people can go to www.choa.org/vote and cast their vote for the Comeback Athlete of the Year. The winner receives a plaque, a $500 donation to his/her school athletic department or club sports team and will be announced on Children’s website Wednesday, June 19.
Caudle, who suffers from transverse myelitis, a rare neurological disorder which causes paralysis below the waist, competes in track and field at Gordon Central where he finished as state runner-up in the wheelchair shot put and 800 meter at the State Meet in Jefferson in May.
