Coosa boys’ soccer player Paco Miranda has been named Class AA State Player of the Year by the GHSA coaches through DiVarsity.

The senior was last year’s Rome News-Tribune Player of the Year, and he broke the school assist record with 33. He scored more than 100 goals at Coosa. Miranda has signed to play for Shorter University.

“I have coached many great players over the last 25 seasons,” said Coosa soccer Randy Vice. “None have had the skill or ability that Paco has. We played 19 games this season and he was the most talented player on the field in all 19, which is impressive since we played great teams like Westminster, Calhoun and Rome.”
