When the clock started winding down, the Coosa boys starting heating up on Friday night.
Hosting Chattooga in a Region 7-AA game, the Eagles scored 28 points in the fourth quarter and rallied for a 75-67 victory.
Coosa hit four 3-pointers to fuel the comeback.
“We picked up the defensive intensity and sped the game up on them,” said Coosa coach John McFather. “We hit some big shots and kind of caught fire.”
Christian McFather scored a game-high 19 points for the Eagles (10-6, 4-3), who notched their second straight 7-AA win.
“We’re taking some steps,” said Coach McFather.
Coosa, which trailed by three points going to the fourth quarter, got a big night from Isaac Bradley, who finished with 16 points and 14 rebounds.
Korley Grier and Billy Bell added 10 each for the Eagles, who host Pepperell on Tuesday.
