Cedartown High School wrestler Jonas Ritter is having to show some patience.

After qualifying for the Class AAAA state tournament, Ritter was geared up to compete this past weekend for the state crown at the Arena at Gwinnett Center. But the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) postponed the tournament because of inclement weather.

So now Ritter, who placed fourth in state last year in the 160 pound weight class, is having to wait until this weekend to wrestle.

The GHSA announced that by moving the tournament back a week, they could no longer use the Arena at Gwinnett Center. Now the GHSA says the Class AAAA state tournament will be held Friday and Saturday at West Laurens High School.

Ritter will be participating in the 170 pound weight class this year at state. He qualified at state by placing third at the Class AAAA West Sectionals.

Ritter will open the state tournament against West Laurens TJ Kight.
