Winning has become routine this season for the Armuchee girls, who have racked up a dozen victories.

Tuesday’s win, however, was anything but “ho-hum” for the Lady Indians.

Facing traditional region juggernaut Calhoun, the Lady Indians powered up for an impressive 4-1 victory in 7-AA action at the Rome-Floyd Tennis Center.

Armuchee improved to 12-1 overall. The winners for the region-leading Lady Indians included:

- Ebony Short, who defeated Sam Stewart, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 1 singles.

- Haley Critchlow, who defeated Emily Brumlow, 6-0, 6-3, at No. 2 singles.

- Kallie Cochran, who defeated Faith Tankersly, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, at No. 3 singles.

- And the doubles team of Allie Brumbelow and Baylee Branton, who defeated Madison Turner and Lexus King, 7-5, 1-6, 6-2, at no. 2 doubles.

Calhoun’s lone victory came at No. 1 doubles, where Calli Davis and Bree Wallraven defeated Morgan Stansell and Maggie Stansell, 4-6, 6-3, 6-0.
