The Yellow Jackets used an early-game offensive effort to shut out the Indians at home, handing Armuchee its first season and region loss.

Calhoun scored all four of its goals within the first 20 minutes of the game.

The Indians (2-1), however, rendered the powerhouse Yellow Jackets scoreless for the rest of the game, despite Calhoun’s 44 shots on the goal.

Helping that effort was Nick Goble who had 17 saves in goal.

“(Goble) had a really good game,” said Armuchee coach Donald Bettler. “Calhoun is a very strong team.”

Armuchee will travel to Model on Tuesday for another region matchup.
