Darlington girls 66,
Christian Heritage 38
The Darlington Lady Tigers used a strong second-half effort to run through the Christian Heritage Lady Lions Saturday afternoon, 66-38, at home.
Behind their steady defense, Darlington held Christian Heritage to just five made field goals in the first two quarters, leading 33-14 at the half.
The Lady Tigers connected on only one of their 12 three-point attempts in the first half, but made a concerted effort to take more efficient shots to open the third quarter. Darlington took only four three-pointers in the second half, knocking down three of them and made 55 percent of their attempts overall over the final two quarters.
The Lady Tigers will match up with Gordon Lee Tuesday night on the road.
Christian Heritage will try to bounce back against Excel Christian Academy Friday night at home.
