The Cedartown Lady Bulldogs were once again victims of a really bad quarter.

Playing at home against South Paulding on Saturday, the Lady Bulldogs were outscored 24-5 in the second quarter to fall way behind in an eventual 59-29 loss.

Cedartown led early 6-4 thanks to the strong offensive effort of Allie Gravitt. But South Paulding would end the first quarter on a 9-2 run to take a 13-8 lead into the next stanza.

South Paulding then opened the second quarter on a 22-1 run to go ahead 35-9 and remove all doubt about the outcome of the game.

Gravitt scored a team-high 12 points for Cedartown (2-15). Arkeria Boozer and Meghan Keith added six points each and Morgan Gore had five.
