Saturday's weather forced Gordon Lee to postpone Senior Night, but the delay did not seem to bother the Trojans or the Lady Trojans, who polished off visiting Christian Heritage with a Region 6-A North sweep on Monday night.
The opener saw the Lady Trojans score 20 points or more in each quarter in a 91-43 rout of the Lady Lions. Gordon Lee led by 20 after the first quarter and 48-22 at the break.
Kassidy Blevins had 22 points and seven assists in the win. Katie Barger finished with 19 points. Sara Clayton had nine points and eight rebounds, while Kalei Kimbrell helped on the glass with nine boards.
Sarah Massengale had 21 points for Christian Heritage.
Gordon Lee (19-5, 9-2) will host Darlington on Friday night at 6 p.m. The winner will be the No. 2 seed for the Region 6-A tournament, while the loser will be the No. 3 seed.
The Trojans had a bit of a tougher time, but emerged a 60-49 winner in the nightcap.
Up 29-22 at intermission, the Lions cut Gordon Lee's lead to four by the end of the third quarter, only to see the Trojans take control in the final period.
Balanced scoring was the key for the Navy-and-White. Daniel Brooks paved the way with 15 points. Cody Wilson had 12 points, followed by Samuel Welch with 11, Ryan Armour with 10, and Landon O'Neal with eight.
The Trojans (13-11, 8-3) will face Darlington at 7:30 on Friday night.
