Hiram 3, Rome 2

Kelvin Cano scored both of the Wolves’ goals in their road loss to Hiram, a region opponent.

Alex Rogers had one assist and Hampton Cauthen had the other for the Wolves (4-2, 1-1).

Despite the loss, Rome showed a strong defensive game by only allowing Hiram six shots on the goal.

Rome launched 11 shots on the goal, but were unable to put enough in to seal the win.

Rome coach Chris Cochran praised the play of Sam Moses, Luis Ochoa, Selvin Cornejo and Justing Van Riper.

The Wolves will host Woodland on Tuesday for another region matchup.
