Armuchee travels to Pepperell tonight for a key girls game as two of the top teams in Region 7-AA do battle. The game highlights a busy night of girls’ hoops action in Northwest Georgia.

In Region 7-AA, Pepperell (13-1, 6-0) puts it perfect region record on the line tonight as Armuchee (10-5, 5-2) comes calling.

The Lady Indians earned a big region win over Calhoun Wednesday night and looks to avenge a 58-51 loss to the Dragons from late December.

The Dragons have been solid all season and have only dropped one game. That loss came to Darlington in the Holiday Tournament finals.

Calhoun (12-4, 5-2) aims to get back on the winning track tonight facing Coosa (1-10, 1-5) at home. The last time the two squads played, in early December, Calhoun won, 60-26.

Model (3-11, 2-5) has dropped two-straight region contests and will be hoping to get a win tonight traveling to play Chattooga (0-10, 0-5). Coincidentally, Model’s last region win came against the Indians.

In Region 5-AAAAA, Rome (4-10, 3-2) currently sits in a tie for third place and looks to get a win over East Paulding (4-12, 2-5) tonight.

In Region 6-A, Darlington (9-3, 2-0) puts its eight-game winning streak on the line with a big contest against Southwest Atlanta Christian (10-4, 3-0). The Tigers are currently ranked number three in the Class A Private School Power Rankings.

Trion (4-6, 1-2) plans to rebound after a tough loss to Darlington on Tuesday night hitting the road to face Excel Christian (1-11, 0-3) tonight.

In Region 7-AAAA, Cedartown (5-5, 0-1) plays Cass (8-8, 0-1) with both teams hoping to get their first region win.

In Region 5-AAA, Sonoraville (11-3, 3-1) and Adairsville (5-7, 3-1) clash in a big meeting tonight at Adairsville, as each team wants to solidify their hold on the number two spot in the region.

Cartersville (12-2, 5-0) is currently the top team in the region. This is the first meeting between the squads this season.

Gordon Central (6-9, 2-3) aims to get back to .500 in the region traveling to play North Murray (6-8, 1-3).

In Region 4-AAA, Rockmart (1-10, 0-3) hopes to get its first region victory facing Central Carroll (13-1, 2-0).
