After being postponed a day because of the late effects of last weekend’s inclement weather, Rome’s Region 7-5A games against Cass led to losses for the host teams Wednesday.
A short-handed Lady Wolves team fell to Cass 72-50, while Rome’s boys were defeated 52-35.
Rome’s Kari Johnson and Taijha Daniel were both forced to sit out the girls’ game with knee injuries. The Lady Wolves (10-3, 4-2 7-5A) were led by Taya Gibson, who scored 22 points before suffering a knee injury of her own.
The Wolves (6-6, 1-4) will join the girls’ team at Paulding County on Friday before hosting East Paulding on Saturday.
