The administrators from the two schools have been unable to reach an agreement on what time tipoff should be for Wednesday night’s game in Columbus. The Model boys are one of three teams from Greater Rome who are still alive in the state tournament.
The Calhoun girls, winners of 25 straight games, are hosting top-ranked and top-seeded Wesleyan tonight at 6 p.m. at Calhoun Middle School in the quarterfinals of the Class AA tourney.
The Darlington girls are traveling to St. Francis (in Alpharetta) on Wednesday night for a 6 p.m. game in the Elite Eight of the Class A tourney.
The game — which represents a rematch of the Region 6-A semifinals — was pushed back from Tuesday to Wednesday so St. Francis could host a doubleheader that night.
