The Heritage boys basketball team earned its third consecutive win on Friday, Jan. 16 at LaFayette.
The Generals, led by head coach Kevin Terry, defeated the Ramblers, 45-30, to extend their record to 8-9 overall.
Cameron Sherlin led the Navy-and-Red with 18 points including three treys. The shooting guard scored 10 of the Generals' 21 points in the first quarter, highlighted by two treys. He also scored six points in the visitors' 12-1 run in the second quarter to extend the their lead to 33-15 at the half.
Terry said he was proud of the way his team executed and Sherlin's performance.
"We had a great start," he said. "We had a defense that was working for us and we were rebounding very well. We hit some shots early and were able to get the lead in the first half...the second half got a little sloppy."
"We're not use to having a 20 point lead so we really don't know how to play with it, but we got the win."
