The Rockmart High School Yellow Jackets two-game winning streak was snapped on Friday at home in a non-region game against the Cass Colonels.
Cass (4-4) scored three runs in the top of the first to take a lead they would never surrender en route to a 12-2 victory.
Rockmart (3-6) scored twice in the bottom of the second, thanks to some wild pitching by Cass, but they were never able to take the lead.
Luke Hembree started the inning with a walk, and Hayden Graham followed by getting hit by a pitch. With two outs, Chet Miller reached base by error, scoring Rockmart's first run. Markise Smith and Tritt Fennell would each draw walks and a second Rockmart run scored on a passed ball.
However, the Colonels would score the next nine runs to win going away.
Rockmart, which made five errors Friday, will be back in action Monday in their Region 4-AAA opener at home against Jackson-Atlanta.
