Cedartown High DECA club members bring home second place in region competition

The DECA club of Cedartown High School came back home this week with a second place finish overall in region competition held in Paulding County. 

Students who took first place in individual competitions included Alexis Robinson with a win in Apparel and Accessories, Lizbeth Rangel in Human Resources Management and Stan Ellis in Principles of Marketing. 

DECA is a marketing organization for high school students around the nation and has promoted business and marketing education for the past 60 years. 

Health department remind Georgians to keep immunizations up to day

When was the last time you checked to make sure your vaccinations were current? The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) wants to remind Georgians that August is National Immunization Awareness Month (NIAM). When you think of your back to school check list, make sure to add vaccinations to the list.   The DPH reminds Georgians to stay up-to-date and get a head start on vaccinations required for school age children.
