Rivers of Living Water, located at 513 Goodyear Street in Rockmart, is hosting its fifth annual “Your Best” talent show.

The show will include two categories: young children, ages three to nine, and older kids, ages ten to 17. The winner of each category will receive a trophy.

Auditions for the event will be at Rivers of Living Water (RLW) from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 19 and Saturday, August 16.

The show will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27 at RLW. Admission is $10. For more information, contact Courtney at 770-689-7838.

Praise Temple Community Outreach Ministries, 230 Marietta Street in Cedartown, will celebrate a third anniversary at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 13.

Pastor Robert Harris and Evangelist Carla Harris welcome the public to attend this special service.

Pastor Bobby Church of the Marietta Street Church will be the guest speaker.

A Women’s Conference will be held at the church beginning at 7:30 p.m. July 18 and at 4 p.m. July 19-20. For more information, call Andrea at 706-461-5231.

The Rockmart United Methodist men will host their annual pancake breakfast from 7 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 19.

Plates will be available for $6 each. The event is planned to coincide with Homespun’s opening activities, which begin at 8 a.m.

Homecoming will be held at New Prospect Baptist Church, 750 Prospect Road, Rockmart, at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, July 13.

Special singers will include The Zion Quartet. Lunch will be served at noon and singing will resume after the meal.

Pastor Larry Davis invites everyone to attend.

The second annual Ride for the Kids to benefit the Shriners Hospitals will be held on July 12.

The event begins at the Rockmart Masonic Lodge. Registration will be held from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. All bikers are welcome.

Cancer Navigators, Inc. becomes affiliated with Floyd Medical Center

Floyd Healthcare Management, Inc. has reached an agreement with Cancer Navigators, Inc. that makes the community-based non-profit organization an affiliate of Floyd Medical Center. The decision was finalized in a vote by FHMI’s Board of Directors at their monthly meeting, held Monday, August 24.
